Commissioned Home Portraits
Ordering a commissioned painting is as easy as 1-2-3! Here's all you need to do:
1. Select Your Portrait Size from one of the options below. Please note that the actual picture will not fill up the entire piece of paper since we leave a two inch border to make framing easier. In the vast majority of cases, your commission can be adapted to fit any of our standard paper sizes; however, structures that are very large or have great detail may not accurately reproduce in the 12 x 16 format. This situation would be discussed during our consultation call. If you are interested other paper sizes, contact us for details. Watercolor paper comes in many shapes and sizes.
2. Mail Us Your Photographs. Send as many pictures as necessary to capture the feel of your home or other subject. (We'd rather have too many pictures than too few!) Include a daytime phone number, e-mail address and any other detailed information about the painting we need to know. We can accept digital images by e-mail but also require a color printout or an actual photograph. This is because computer colors vary greatly from machine to machine. We want make sure the colors actually match your home, which is why we ask for a hard copy that meets your approval.
3. Include your payment. You can send a check or use one of the "Buy Now" buttons below if you'd prefer to use a credit card.
What Happens Next? We'll Call You! We enjoy getting to know each client personally and will make a consultation call once your photographs are received at the studio. During this phone call, we'll discuss layout and any special requests you may have. Once the consultation is complete, your painting should be completed within four weeks (may take slightly longer prior to the Christmas holiday).
